When ‘Santa Bosh’ came to town

On Saturday, Chris Bosh and his wife Adrienne and their charity Team Tomorrow held “Santa Bosh’s Workshop” at GameTime at the Shops at Sunset Place, where nearly 200 youngsters — from Chapman Partnership Homeless Shelter and other charities — were invited to enjoy games and food, and to visit “Santa Bosh’s Workshop”.

With no Internet at home, Miami-Dade kids crowd libraries for online homework

A 2011 survey of young patrons found about 45 percent reported having no online access at home. Estimates by the nonprofit group EveryoneOn that 35 percent of Miami-Dade’s households lack an Internet connection, given the county’s poverty rate.
