THE MANN SISTERS PRESENT STRUM TOGETHER MIAMI ON SEPTEMBER 26 AT THE STAGE

MIAMI, FL – Thursday, September 5th, 2013 – The Mann Sisters, Lauren and Alexandra Mann, who are 20-year-old twins and singers-songwriters from Miami, are producing “Strum Together Miami,” a concert benefiting Chapman Partnership and its fight to end homelessness in Miami-Dade County, at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 26, at The Stage in the Miami Design District, 170 NE 38th St., Miami, FLa. 33137.

Alexandra and Lauren Mann of Nashville were born and raised in South Florida. Their love and concern for South Florida issues such as homeless never left them. “Strum Together Miami” is a way for them to contribute to the community and help raise awareness of important issues facing society today.

The Mann Sisters’ music is deeply rooted in American rock and country music with influences ranging from Fleetwood Mac to Patsy Cline. Their music premiered on Forward Motion Records. The Mann Sisters will bring their critically acclaimed music back to Miami to support Chapman Partnership with a one-night performance. Also performing with The Mann Sistersis Omine, rocker, singer-songwriter, the bandBrothers of Others, and special guest emcee Ron Magill of Zoo Miami.

“Homelessness has always been close to our hearts and we hope this event brings awareness to a very relevant issue in our world today, and that it encourages everyone to use their own talents and strengths to assist others in their community," Alexandra Mann said. "After Lauren and I played a show for the residents at Chapman Partnership in their Homestead center, we saw firsthand the amazing things music can do for people."

Chapman Partnership operates two Homeless Assistance Centers with 800 beds located in Miami and Homestead and helps the homeless by providing a comprehensive support program.

"After seeing how live music raised the residents' sprits with families singing, laughing and dancing the night away, we thought we need to take what we know best, music, and use our talents to help our community and produce a benefit concert, which became Strum Together Miami,” Lauren Mann said.
