At Chapman Partnership, we're committed to providing basic needs like food and shelter all year long. But when the hot Miami summer hits, we step up our game to ensure our community, and the 500 people in our Miami Center and 300 in our Homestead Center, stay hydrated and cool.
During the school year, our kids are in class, but come summer, it's all about Camp Chapman! We keep our children engaged and active with fun activities, field trips, and exciting adventures. Our meal service program is even more crucial during this time, as we provide extra meals for our Camp Chapman kids and make sure they enjoy nutritious meals during their outings.

We don't just focus on the kids in the summer; we also ramp up our efforts to support adults and families. For this post, we talked to our Vice President of Operations and Programming, Kavaja Sarduy, about the unique challenges we face and the efforts we make during the summer months.
