CHAPMAN PARTNERSHIP RECEIVES $20,000 FROM WELLS FARGO TO GIVE JOB TRAINING TO HOMELESS RESIDENTS RE-ENTERING THE WORKFORCE

MIAMI, FL – Wednesday, November 16th, 2011 – Chapman Partnership, the private sector partner of Miami-Dade County Homeless Trust, is the recipient of a $20,000 grant from Wells Fargo. The funds will be used to train low-income South Florida residents in the culinary arts, security, and childcare education fields.

The grant to Chapman Partnership will go toward job development and vocational training for those who are re-entering the workforce in South Florida.

“For the second straight year, Wells Fargo is pleased to partner with Chapman Partnership to support our community during these difficult economic times as public funds become scarce,” said Jorge Villacampa, Miami-Dade and Monroe counties community bank president for Wells Fargo, who also serves on the executive committee and board of directors of Chapman Partnership. “The job-training programs our grant will support will help the residents of Chapman Partnership gain the necessary skills for employment so they may get back on their feet and reach self-sufficiency and independence.”
