COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP FOR HOMELESS NAMES DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT

MIAMI, FL – Monday, November 22nd, 2010 – Community Partnership for Homeless (CPH) announced the appointment of Holly Woodbury as director of development for the nonprofit organization, which operates two assistance centers in Miami-Dade County.

“We are pleased that Holly comes to us with her years of experience in the nonprofit arena to focus on attracting donors and build relationships within the board of directors. We believe that Holly’s positive manner will help us to continue making a difference in the lives of those we serve,” Daniel Vincent, executive director of CPH, said.

Woodbury brings more than a decade of experience in fundraising, events management and volunteer recruitment in both the nonprofit and government sectors.

“I look forward to applying my experience and knowledge to CPH, and I am embracing the opportunities to leverage what we have and move forward,” Woodbury said.

Prior to joining CPH, Woodbury was development director for Denver Parks and Recreation, where she was instrumental in building coalitions between nonprofit and government programs. She also served as adjunct professor at Metropolitan State College of Denver, where she taught a course in financial accountability and organizational control for nonprofits. Her previous position was as director of development and marketing for Women’s Bean Project, dedicated to ending the cycle of poverty for women in Denver. Other experience includes campaign director for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and events manager for both Colorado AIDS Project and American Red Cross, Mile High Chapter.

Woodbury holds a master’s in public administration with a focus on nonprofit management from the University of Colorado at Denver. She is a graduate of Washburn University in Topeka, Kan., with a bachelor’s degree in speech communication.

Community Partnership for Homeless operates two Homeless Assistance Centers: 1550 North Miami Ave. in Miami and 28205 SW 125th Ave. in Homestead. Together, the centers accommodate 756 homeless residents, of which more than 200 are children.
