FABULOUS FASHION LAUNCHES WOMENADE OF MIAMI TO BENEFIT HOMELESS WOMEN

MIAMI – Wednesday, May 12th, 2010 – Miami – May 12, 2010 – High fashion through the ages sizzled on Saturday, May 8, when C. Madeleine’s boutique and “Sex in the City” stylist Danny Santiago produced a vintage showcase to benefit homeless women in Miami.

Looks spanning the 1920s through the 1970s were creatively revived on the runway at the Viceroy Hotel to celebrate the inauguration of Womenade of Miami’s community wide campaign and partnership with Community Partnership for Homeless (CPH).

Funds raised from ticket sales and a silent auction will provide critical resources to help CPH continue to offer healthcare, dental care, daycare, after school care, case management, job and housing placement, and psychiatric care right on-site to women and families.

Sponsors for the event were C. Madeleine’s Vintage Boutique, RikRak Salon, Viceroy Miami Hotel and DSW- Designer Shoe Warehouse.

ABOUT COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP FOR HOMELESS & WOMENADE OF MIAMI

Since 1995, Community Partnership for Homeless (CPH) has been assisting homeless men, women and children in transitioning off the streets of Miami-Dade County and on their way to attaining greater stability and self-sufficiency in their lives. As the private sector partner of the Miami-Dade County Homeless Trust, CPH has continually been recognized as a national model for their comprehensive approach to helping the homeless. The program’s main catalyst for success—the Homeless Assistance Centers— operate as one-stop temporary care entry points that provide not just food and shelter, but comprehensive case management, healthcare, daycare, job training and other assistance from a variety of social service agencies all under one roof.

WOMENADE of Miami is made up of women from all walks of life that are committed to the mission of increasing revenue and awareness for CPH. WOMENADE'S assistance will target the women and children who reside at CPH looking to rebuild their lives.
